Game’s Leaving Interscope

Game hasn’t been tight lipped about his frustrations with Interscope. Although he has his ups and downs, the Compton native has fulfilled his contract obligations and confirmed he is now a free agent.
“Recently, a free agent. Was signed to Interscope for my last five albums, which of course are all platinum,” he says during a recent appearance on Larry King. “I been taking a lot of meetings and a lot of conference calls about my next move. And I haven’t narrowed it down yet.”
Game’s requirement was to release five CDs during his time at Interscope. Last year, Game released Jesus Piece, which featured the single “Celebration,” as well as a number of guests including 2 Chainz, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and more. It was widely regarded as his strongest project yet.
While Game hasn’t announced his new label home, Birdman and Rick Ross have expressed interest in signing the 33-year-old. But for now, he’s keeping his options open.
